Because of COVID-19 restrictions, the International Dental Conference (IDS) has been postponed until September.
The trade fair, originally scheduled for March 10 to 13, 2021 in Cologne, Germany, will now be held September 22 to 25, according to a press release. Show organizers hope travel restrictions will be more relaxed by September, allowing international partners and customers to safely travel to Cologne for the 39th edition of the conference.
Postponing the event, which takes place every two years, will “enable the exhibitors and visitors to engage in a physical and personal exchange live again and experience the pronounced community principle, which has distinguished the dental industry for decades.”
Like the conference originally planned for March, the September trade fair will combine physical and digital elements.
IDS is organized by the GFDI Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Dental-Industrie mbH, the commercial enterprise of the Association of German Dental Manufacturers (VDDI) and is staged by Koelnmesse GmbH, Cologne.
