New Dental Product: G-ænial Universal Injectable Unitips from GC America

GC America’s G-ænial Universal Injectable is now available in a convenient single-use unitip delivery system.

G-ænial Universal Injectable Unitips give clinicians another delivery option so they can choose what’s best for their patients, according to a press release.

The strong, highly filled material adapts well to the cavity walls and margins and fills any void or undercut, while still retaining its shape during placement. The composite is strong enough for posterior restorations (without capping) and features optimal esthetics for the anterior area, meaning it can be used for all cavity classes. It features Full-coverage Silane Coating (FCS) to improve the coupling between the fillers and the matrix. This leads to a material that’s easy to extrude, doesn’t slump or stick to the tip and displays optimal wear resistance.

Its flexural strength and wear resistance are similar to conventional paste composites, making expanded indications possible. The composite’s high thixotropy enables it to keep its shape or spread on the tooth, depending on the constraint applied to the material. This makes it well suited for many applications with simplified techniques.

The material is indicated for all restoration classes, from Class I to Class V, and to build margins or restore occlusal surfaces, cusp by cusp. Its wear resistance makes it well suited for direct restoration of worn tooth surfaces using the injection moulding technique. The homogeneous dispersion of the material’s ultra-fine barium particles helps achieve gloss retention.

G-ænial Universal Injectable is available in 16 shades including opaque and enamel.
