2C MedTech Partners with CASPR Group to Offer Disinfection Technology to Dental Offices

2C MedTech recently partnered with CASPR Group to introduce the CASPR Compact Medik and HVAC solution to the dental industry.

CASPR Medik was previously only available to hospitals as an in-duct HVAC product, according to a press release. With CASPR Compact Medik, the solution is now available as a portable unit for dental offices that provides continuous air and surface protection. The systems are said to reduce airborne and surface pathogens by up to 99.96%.

CASPR, which stands for Continuous Air and Surface Pathogen Reduction, was originally developed for hospitals to reduce the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HAIs). Because of the heightened awareness of the risk to dental professionals from aerosol generating procedures, the company is now making both the in-duct solution and the mobile unit available to dental offices.

Medik disinfection technology featured in the systems reacts with the H2O molecules found in the air to continuously create effective oxidizing molecules such as hydrogen peroxide (H202). These molecules are delivered at safe levels to reduce clinically relevant pathogens, including viruses. CASPR is safe for use in occupied space and does not interrupt patient care.

The new CASPR Compact Medik is small, portable, and easy to deploy. Each unit can cover an area up to 1,500 square feet. The product is available for pre-order and is expected to ship mid-August.
