Utah-based Ultradent Products recently donated 12,000 disposable face masks to the University of Utah Health.
The Utah Coronavirus Task Force and multiple state legislators issued a request for businesses to donate personal protective equipment (PPE) including disposable face masks, and Ultradent responded, according to a press release. The donation will help mitigate the shortage of PPE for those on the frontline battling the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We’re all deeply indebted to the medical professionals saving lives and reducing suffering caused by this pandemic,” Ultradent President Dirk Jeffs said, according to the release. “The work being done both in Utah and around the world is admirable. We’re hoping these masks will help our Utah neighbors in their fight against this virus.”
