Align Technology recently announced that the Align Technology Foundation, its donor-advised fund through Fidelity Charitable, will donate $1 million to support COVID-19 relief efforts around the world.
Align also plans to donate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as N95 masks, according to a press release, and is working with partners to source supplies for additional PPE for health care providers treating COVID-19 patients.
The custom 3D-printed material manufacturer is reaching out to public and private sector organizations to offer expertise and counsel on how to reduce the shortage of parts and materials needed for public health workers. Align is also exploring options to convert its custom manufacturing and tooling equipment to help provide needed supplies.
