Cantel has officially acquired Hu-Friedy Mfg. Co.
Cantel announced plans for the acquisition in August and completed it earlier this month. The company will combine Hu-Friedy with its dental division Crosstex, which specializes in infection prevention, sterility assurance, dental water management and conscious sedation systems, according to a press release.
Cantel acquired Hu-Friedy for $725 million in upfront cash and stock consideration and up to $50 million in earnout payments payable in cash and stock, conditional on the achievement of commercial milestones in the first 18 months after closing.
The acquisition will enhance the dental division’s supply chain efficiency and better support its distribution partners.
