KaVo Kerr recently introduced Take 1 Hydro VPS impression material.
The material features a contact angle at ≤10° on uncured material, which makes it possible to push the material deeper into the sulcus to capture better margins and details without voids and distortions on the first try, according to a press release. This reduces the need for time-consuming and costly retakes.
The durable, elastic impression material provides optimal dimensional stability to minimize shrinkage during handling and shipping, resulting in final crowns that better match the preparation. It also uses an advanced surfactant formula that breaks down moisture barriers between the preparation and the impression material. This optimal surface activation supports crowns that fit better and require fewer adjustments.
The material comes in regular and fast set times and has options that are well suited for challenging intraoral situations such as full or partial edentulous impressions, full arch restorations, as well as single- and multi-unit applications.
