Hu-Friedy recently launched the Atlas Forceps Collection.
The stainless steel forceps are engineered with an internal hinge for strength, control and flexibility, according to a press release, and allow clinicians to effectively perform difficult extractions. The internal spring maintains the instrument in the open position, which helps to limit the need for instrument adjustment. This reduces hand manipulation during surgery and offers clinicians enhanced comfort and control.
The forceps are available in 14 designs in both standard and apical styles for atraumatic extraction. The apical design provides users with a firm, secure grasp of the crown during surgery. Thin, sharp tapered beaks allow for ease in penetrating the PDL and apical progression.
Hinges are laser marked for quick identification when bagged during cleaning and sterilization.
