KaVo Kerr recently released the PROPHYflex™ 4 portable air cleaning device.
The polisher is designed to remove stains, bacterial plaque, and to clean enamel surfaces before fissure sealing, according to a press release. It features better ergonomics, efficiency and versatility than earlier models, giving hygienists a more effective way to polish teeth above and below the gum line.
The upgraded device features three adjustable pressure settings for easy supragingival cleaning and more control over cleaning performance. The narrow shape of the cannula and minimized mist formation enable enhanced visibility, less mess, and better preservation of the tooth structure.
The PROPHYflex™ 4 is designed with adjustable handpieces and an optional Perio Kit that delivers optimized pressure for subgingival treatment and precision in pocket areas. It’s also well suited for cleaning bridges, implants and crowns.
The ultra-lightweight, balanced handpiece also features an adjustable length and 360° rotation grip sleeve to make polishing easier.
