A new partnership between Kulzer and DENTCA will create a new digital workflow for in-house produced 3D printed dentures.
Created as a more efficient and accurate way for practices and dental laboratories to produce dentures, the new platform allows online digital denture design through DENTCA and then downloading of the file for local production using the cara Print 4.0 3D printer, according to a press release. The initial design is created in Kulzer's Pala Design Studio software and can be completed in less than 20 minutes. The entire workflow requires just two patient visits.
The digital design platform is based on DENTCA's software which has been used to produce digital dentures for several years. The new workflow will be officially launched at the 2019 LMT Lab Day event in Chicago this February. While the first available workflow will be for 3D printed dentures, additional workflows for in-house milled dentures, all-on-4 case design, as well as splint and night-guard design will be available at later dates.
