Dental practices using 3Shape's TRIOS intraoral scanners can now send their digital impressions directly to the 3M oral Care Portal for the design and production of Clarity Aligners.
The integration with the 3Shape software makes the data transfer possible with a single click, according to a press release. The integration adds Clarity to more than 50 orthodontic solutions and sleep device systems, and hundreds of bracket libraries already integrated with the TRIOS.
The 3M portal is a HIPAA-compliant solution that allows data transfer and access from anywhere and supports submission of digital case data for aligners, combination orthodontics, and retainers. The new connection can work in conjunction with the 3Shape TRIOS Treatment Simulator app that can be used to show patients what they can look like at the completion of the proposed treatment.
