With a trio of new legal filings, Align Technology is asserting 10 additional patents in the company's charges that 3Shape is infringing on its intellectual property.
With the new legal actions, Align Technology is now alleging that 3Shape is infringing on 35 patents covering digital impressions and CAD/CAM software, according to a press release. The complaint filed with the U.S. International Trade Commission alleges that 3Shape is violating U.S. trade law and asks for a cease and desist order as well as the cessation of imports of 3Shape's scanners and software. Additional legal filings in U.S. District Court seek monetary payments for damage caused by the alleged patent infringement.
