DentalEZ recently presented True Caries Teeth from Columbia Dentoform.
The teeth are used to train dental students how to identify and remove caries, according to a press release. Unlike painted caries, the True Caries Teeth have a sticky, rubbery feel, providing a tactical sensation and response for students that allows for removal via a curette.
The teaching aides, which are described as lifelike and scoop-able, are developed to feel like actual soft caries. The realistic products help better train students so they learn to face the challenges that often come with clinical work.
