Dentsply Sirona introduced the SureSmile clear aligner solution at Dentsply Sirona World in Orlando.
The clear aligners are produced based on a digital impression scan and 2D or 3D imaging, according to a press release. All data, including a photo of the patient’s face, is uploaded to the newly designed Elemetrix software. An interactive diagnostic tool registers the digital treatment plan to the patient photo to help ensure an ideal smile design.
The open system accepts all STL files, but preferred alongside the CEREC Omnicam. The Elemetrix software platform offers multiple treatment options including fabricated clear aligners, in-office designed aligners and indirect bonding.
The solution allows orthodontists as well as general practitioners to offer patients more treatment options and different price models with one platform. SureSmile aligners are available with all-inclusive pricing and pay-per-aligner, as well as in-office “DIY” aligner design.
The aligners are now available in the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand and select European countries.
