Providing improved adaption, handling, and easier extrusion than previous generations, SonicFill 3 SingleFill Composite System from KaVo Kerr makes bulk fill composite placement simple and efficient.
The improved formulation is designed to fill cavities in seconds, according to a press release. The material is non-sticky and does not slump. It can be cured in 5 mm increments without requiring a liner or cap layer. It features nano-scale zirconsil filler that combines zirconium oxide and silica oxide for optimal blending, wear resistance, and strength in order to create long-lasting composite restorations.
Like previous SonicFill generations, SonicFill 3 is activated by a sonic dispenser that allows the material to behave like a flowable composite during placement but then resume its sculptable consistency once the sonic energy is removed. This allows the material to be used for highly efficient posterior composite restorations.
