Digital impressions captured with the CS 3600 intraoral scanner from Carestream Dental are now certified for use with Ortho Insight 3D software from Motion View, LLC.
The scans can easily be imported to the Ortho Insight 3D software directly from the Carestream scanning software, and once there they can be used for planning orthodontic treatments and designing orthodontic appliances, according to a press release. The files are exported from Carestream' software in STL format, and the Ortho Insight 3D platform allows users to create 3D digital study models, conduct model analysis, set up aligners, plan bracket placements and design custom transfer trays.
