Coltene Holding AG is set to acquire SciCan and MicroMega in a deal expected to strengthen the company's position in the infection control and endodontic products markets.
When the deal is completed it is expected to significantly increase Coltene's sales, and to bring the total number of employees in the Coltene Group to 1,300, according to a press release. The combined company will be in an improved position to address compliance and regulation standards while recognizing economies of scale in sales and marketing. The purchase is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2018.
