With the launch of the Syclone Amalgam Separator, Crosstext International is officially expanding the scope of its water solutions portfolio.
Previously sold under the name Apavia Amalgam Separator, the Syclone is designed to capture amalgam particles in the wastewater at dental practices, according to a press release. The system uses a combination of techniques including filtration and centrifugation. The unit features a sizable containment capacity along with cyclonic action in order to provide a long service life.
The amalgam separator technology was acquired by Crosstex following the company's purchase of ENPRESS, LLC and its subsidiary Apavia.
