Presidential Historian and Pulitzer Prize-winning Author Doris Kearns Goodwin and Comedian Jim Gaffigan will make appearances at Dentsply Sirona World 2018, which is slated for September 13-15 at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando.
Goodwin will present the keynote address on Sept.14, according to a press release. She is the author of six New York Times best-selling books, including her most recent, The Bully Pulpit: Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, and the Golden Age of Journalism.
Steven Spielberg’s DreamWorks Studios has acquired the film and television rights to the book. Spielberg and Goodwin previously worked together on the film Lincoln, based in part on Goodwin’s award-winning Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln.
Goodwin was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in history for No Ordinary Time: Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt: The Home Front in World War II, and is the author of the best sellers Wait Till Next Year, Lyndon Johnson and the American Dream and The Fitzgeralds and the Kennedys, which was adapted into an award-winning five-part TV miniseries.
Gaffigan, who is a three-time Grammy nominated comedian, actor, writer, producer and two-time New York Times best-selling author, will provide the entertainment on Sept. 13 during a private standup show for Dentsply Sirona World attendees.
Gaffigan has been nominated for three Grammy Awards for comedy albums, “Jim Gaffigan: Mr. Universe,” “Jim Gaffigan: Obsessed” and “Cinco.“ He also won a Daytime Emmy in 2016 for his humor commentaries for CBS Sunday Morning. He has 10 films slated to release or start production in 2018.
The three day educational event will also include general sessions, breakout sessions, networking opportunities and more entertainment. Early bird registration is available through May 31.
