3Shape Implant Studio Now Supports SprintRay 3D Printers for Surgical Guide Production

SprintRay 3D printers are now supported in 3Shape Implant Studio for surgical guide production.

The integration creates an efficient workflow that makes it possible for dental professionals to affordably produce precise oral surgical guides, according to a press release. SprintRay’s 3D printers enable professionals using 3Shape Implant Studio to 3D print designed surgical guides for dental implant surgery.

The guides can be printed in less than an hour using SprintRay’s flagship MoonRay high-resolution 3D printer and biocompatible surgical guide resin.

3Shape’s Implant Studio software merges cone beam computed tomography and surface scans to provide a comprehensive view of a patient’s clinical situation. This enables professionals to prosthetically plan and design restorative elements used in the implant procedure, as well as design and produce surgical guides.

SprintRay’s high-resolution 3D printers also can be used to print other oral appliances such as dental models, nightguards, retainers, crowns, denture bases, and indirect bonding trays.
