Ultradent Products will give out five scholarships for women dentists to attend Icons of Dentistry: A Workshop for Women.
The prize includes round-trip coach airfare from U.S. cities to Salt Lake City, hotel accommodations for the duration of the workshop, and waived tuition, according to a press release. Attendees will receive 16 CE credits. The workshop is slated for June 22-23.
To submit a nomination, post on the Icons of Dentistry Facebook page or email [email protected], identifying the woman dentist you are nominating. Include a brief paragraph or two about why you think this woman should win based on her contributions to the dental industry, community involvement and philanthropy.
Nominations will be accepted until April 15 and must be for women dentists licensed in the United States, age 18 and over. Winners will be notified with a phone call to their practice.
The two-day event will feature iconic women in the field of dentistry teaching classes and workshops on everything from work/life balance, practice building and management, esthetic dentistry and lasers. There also will be a special keynote speaker to be announced later this month.
Those who come to the workshop can attend a special dinner at the home of Dr. Dan Fischer, founder and CEO of Ultradent, as well as a cocktail social where they can mingle with speakers and other attendees. All other meals, including another special dinner event, will be included in the price of the workshop.
