3Shape released an updated version of its digital Denture Design software at this year’s Chicago Midwinter Meeting.
The software features new material and manufacturing options designed to make it more attractive for labs to produce dentures digitally, according to a press release. The software gives labs the ability to choose from various production methods and offer dentists and patients flexible denture services and solutions. The software supports a full range of lab workflows.
Features include the ability to design single-arch dentures using customized teeth for single arch while adapting to the antagonist using the virtual articulator for esthetics and fit; integrated major denture teeth libraries; the ability to combine gypsum and impression scans to align and merge different scans and enable flexible workflows; a full workflow for try-ins to capture adjustments and update designs for better fitting dentures; and the ability to use patient photos with 3Shape RealView to achieve optimal esthetics.
