 Headlining Educators for AACD 2018 Announced

The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) recently announced the headlining educators for its 2018 meeting, which is scheduled for April 18-21 at McCormick Place Lakeside Center in Chicago.

The 34th Annual AACD Scientific Session’s educational program will consist of four main collections: the Complex Case collection, the Accreditation Collection, the Lab Focus collection and the Dental Team collection, according to a press release.

As part of the Complex Case collection, Lee Culp, CDT, Dr. Joseph Kan, Dr. Aldo Leopardi and Dr. Michael Sesemann will tackle two complicated cases, one involving six or more restorations in the upper arch including implants and natural teeth and another involving six or more indirect restorations in the upper arch where all restorations are on natural teeth.

Through the Accreditation Collection, top educators will help attendees master some of the most popular cosmetic cases as they work toward becoming accredited members of the AACD. Attendees will work under the guidance of Accreditation Chairman, Dr. John Rowe, Jr., Dr. J. Fred Arnold III, Dr. Betsy Bakeman, Dr. Scott Finlay, Dr. Brian LeSage, Dr. Brett Magnuson, Dr. Frank Milnar, Dr. Adamo Notarantonio, Dr. Bradley J. Olson, Dr. Michael Sesemann, Dr. John Weston, and Dr. Corky Willhite.

The Lab Focus collection features two days of top dental technicians presenting the latest techniques and materials. Jungo Endo, RDT; Edris Rasta, MDT; Thomas Sing, MDT; Sung Bin Im, CDT, MDC and Aram M. Torosian, CDT, MDC will cover pink esthetics, biomimetic layering, matching a single central, and digital and esthetic considerations for creating predictable restorations respectively.

Team members will learn essential skills for assisting with cosmetic dentistry patients through the Dental Team collection. They’ll have the opportunity to attend courses on leadership, communication, contemporary concepts in cosmetic dentistry and esthetic dental photography. Instructors include Leigh Ann Faight, RDH; Dr. Salvatore Lotardo, Debra Engelhardt Nash and Dr. Adamo Notarantonio.

Additional courses also will be available, with attendees having the opportunity to choose from more than 40 hands-on workshops, 70 lectures and 80 educators.
