Planmeca and CephX Technologies LTD now offer a service for automatic cephalometric tracing and analysis. It uses CephX’s intelligent AlgoCeph algorithm, a sophisticated application of artificial intelligence, and machine learning technology based on thousands of manually traced cephalometric images.
Integrating AlgoCeph into the Planmeca Romexis dental imaging software streamlines orthodontic practitioners’ work, according to a press release. After image capturing in the software is completed, an automatic cephalometric analysis can be ordered with a few clicks and received in a matter of seconds.
The service also can be used directly online from a website designed for Planmeca users who haven’t updated to the 4.6 version of the software.
CephX’s AlgoCeph algorithm saves practitioners time, reduces human error and contributes to enhanced efficiency and improved patient handling.
