Kerr Endodontics recently released OptiDam, a three dimensional, low radiopacity rubber dam that offers stress-free positioning and optimal patient comfort.
The 3D design provides optimal visibility and accessibility, according to a press release, and a clean operating area that leads to more successful outcomes. The rubber dam’s low radiopacity means there’s no need to remove the dam during x-rays, while its anatomical shape leads to reduced tensioning so dentists don’t have to worry about it snapping out of place.
The nipple design guides dental professionals during positioning for easier assembly and removal. The saliva ejector fits comfortably underneath the dam. The rubber dam’s shape also allows patients to breath freely.
Versatile anterior and posterior versions of the dam adapt to dental procedures as needed.
