Kerr Partners with Dental Recycling of North America

Kerr recently partnered with Dental Recycling of North America (DRNA) to increase awareness of new EPA regulations and support dental practices through information, training, documentation and equipment.

RecycleAmalgamWaste.com, a new site hosted by DRNA, provides resources exclusively for Kerr customers, according to a press release. These resources include a complete checklist of key points regarding compliance with EPA regulations along with FAQs; a list of upcoming DRNA webinars that go over the new regulations; and an update on disposal and recycling policies for Evac-u-Traps and chairside Pinnacle traps, as well as the best solutions for compliance.

Offices can sign up for the Free Environmental Compliance report through the site. The report is sent via email each month.

DRNA also will provide a free eight-hour continuing education course, “Public Health, the Environment and Dentistry: From Policy to Clinical Practice,” that outlines the compliance requirements. Created by Dr. Al Frost, a dentist, epidemiologist, public health specialist and Vice President for Clinical and Scientific Affairs for DRNA, the course guides clinicians through the changing EPA landscape.

For a limited time, DRNA will also offer Kerr customers a free recycling unit with the purchase of a year-long service agreement, as well as help customers with the documentation they’re required to provide to the government.
