Oral-B recently introduced its Test Drive Program, which is designed to encourage patients to switch to a power toothbrush.
To participate in the program, dentists can reach out to their regional Crest + Oral-B representative to register their office, according to materials from the company. Dentists will then receive a “Test Drive Starter Kit” to prepare their practice to implement the program.
The Test Drive Kit includes a handpiece, 50 single-use test drive tips and disposable handpiece covers along with the protocol for providing hygienic power tooth brush trials.
Patients will then have the opportunity to try the Oral-B Pro 5000 SmartSeries Electric Toothbrush with Bluetooth Connectivity. This power toothbrush features triple pressure control, micro pulsations to break plaque as well as oscillations and rotations to sweep it away, and a smart guide designed to motivate patients to brush for 2 minutes at the appropriate pressure.
Dentists are encouraged to try the electric toothbrush before recommending it, and to offer demonstrations for patients who might be skeptical.
