Solea Dental Laser in Use at UH Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital

Pediatric dental patients at UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in Cleveland are receiving anesthesia-free treatments using Convergent Dental’s Solea CO2 dental laser.

The hospital is among the first healthcare institutions in the United States to use the Solea laser. The laser was adopted for use with pediatric patients because it operates quietly, quickly and without the need for anesthesia, according to a press release.

The hospital currently owns 2 Soleas thanks to a donation from local philanthropists Tom and Anne Jenkins. One laser is kept at the hospital while another is part of the hospital’s Ronald McDonald Care Mobile clinic.
