Research Shows Long Working Time for Venus Diamond Composite

With the company’s research showing an extended working time for Venus Diamond composite, Heraeus Kulzer believes the material can reduce clinician stress.

Venus Diamond does not start prematurely setting due to ambient light in the operatory, and the extended working time of 3½ minutes allows the dentist to place and shape the material for optimal function and esthetics prior to setting, according to a press release. The in-vitro study looked at ambient light sensitivity of four dental composites. Measured in accordance with ISO standard 4049 for filling, restorative and fixing plastics, Venus Diamond was found to have the longest processing time.
