Created as a response to the reported presence of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) in the United States, the online MERS Toolkit from Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP) is a resource for dental professionals.
The kit includes links to CDC information on preventing the spread of MERS, best practices for preventing MERS in a dental setting, talking points for staff who might encounter a patient with symptoms of MERS, as well as links to videos and articles on the topic. The toolkit will be updated with any further developments regarding the illness, according to a press release.
The free toolkit can be accessed at http://www.osap.org/?page=CoronaVirusToolkit.
