A collaboration between 3Shape and Straumann brings the ability to design custom abutments with Straumann original implant connection in 3Shape’s Dental System CAD/CAM software.
The new connectivity integrates Straumann CARES libraries into the Dental System software and allows dental labs using the software to design custom abutments in either zirconia or titanium which can be ordered from Straumann for production at one of the company’s global production facilities, according to a press release. The collaboration is designed to bring new opportunities and options to dental labs using these open architecture technologies.
The new libraries are available now, and 3Shape users who wish to obtain them should contact Straumann for more information.
