ADA Foundation creates grant program to aid practices damaged by Hurricane Sandy

The American Dental Association Foundation has launched a new Emergency Disaster Assistance Grant program to provide support for dental professionals impacted by Hurricane Sandy.

The new program will provide immediate support of up to $1,000 for dentists in need of food, water, clothing, shelter or counseling, according to a press release. Applications for the grants are available on the ADA Foundation website.

The new grant program will run alongside the ADA Foundation’s existing Disaster Assistance Grants Program that provides up to $5,000 to dentists who have lost property in a declared disaster. A fundraising campaign to support both grant programs is underway as well, according to the press release.
