Dental bristle brushes are primarily used for application of whitening agents, etchants, bonding agents, sealants, adhesives and resins. The fibers of the bristle brush should be chemical resistant, non-shedding and non-absorbent. The dental bristle brushes should be pliable enough for sufficient spreading and firm enough for ample carrying capacity. They may be single or double-ended. A variety of sizes are available as well as colors to aid in coding procedures. Some dental bristle brushes are disposable. Disposable dental bristle brushes eliminate cross-contamination.
