Porcelain Alloys

Porcelain alloys are used to fabricate copings and other substructures for crowns and bridges. These metals are cast to create a strong and properly fitting base to support an esthetic porcelain fused to metal (PFM) crown or bridge. A wide range of high noble, noble and base metal compositions can be used for fabricating PFM substructures, so there are numerous alloys that can be used. When considering a porcelain alloy it is important to consider how well the alloy bonds with your prefered ceramic system. Other key attributes of these materials are their specific working properties for casting, along with color and esthetic qualities.

DescriptionA well balanced composition offering excellent strength and hardness, EQUITY behaves well in the laboratory and is a very easy alloy to use. A high Exceptional strength and hardness, a solidus temperature of 1100º C for stability and ease of soldering, tenacious porcelain to metal bonding, and a JP-80 is a high noble, 75% light-yellow porcelain dental alloy that is known for its strength. JP-80's low hardness makes it perfect for cases with JP-I-A is a lower gold, silver free High Noble alternative that offers higher strength than any other Jensen High Noble dental alloy. As the highestJPW is a white, high noble porcelain dental alloy with exceptional properties. The alloy has an unusually light oxide, lighter than most other alloys
