Ken Hovden, DDS
Dr. Hovden a 1981 graduate of the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry is currently in private practice in Daly City, Calif. Dr. Hovden has studied with many of the leading educators in the dental field.
These include Dr. Peter Dawson, Dr. David Hornbrook, Dr. Frank Spear, Dr. John Kois, Dr. Newton Fahl, Dr. Pascal Magne and Dr. Steve Buchanon. Dr. Hovden introduced the surgical microscope to his office over nine years ago and added his second microscope almost four years ago. He has incorporated their use into his comprehensive restorative practice. He maintains a faculty position at UOP in the department of Endodontics along with a teaching position at IDEA USA where Dr. Hovden teaches an “Introduction to the Microscope for the General Practitioner” course. Dr. Hovden is also the Director of Bay Area Aesthetic Masters a Bay Area Study Club with over 40 members. Dr. Hovden is currently a clinical mentor of the Hornbrook Group which teaches live patient, advanced restorative courses across the nation.
