Indirect Provisional Materials

Indirect provisional materials are used to create temporary crowns, bridges, veneers or other restorations that will be worn by a patient while a final restoration is being fabricated. These temporary materials are used to create the restorations extraorally from an impression or a model, and they are often acrylics or urethanes. A provisional restoration needs to be durable and provide the esthetics a patient expects, and with indirect materials it is important to find an option that is easy to work with and place.
