3D Systems recently introduced a first-of-its-kind solution for jetted, monolithic dentures.
The solution uses multiple materials to deliver a durable, beautiful prosthetic, “enabled by the formulation of bespoke materials for both teeth and gums,” according to a press release.
Together, NextDent Jet Denture Teeth and NextDent Jet offer the right combination of esthetics, wear and stain resistance in the teeth and exceptional break resistance in the gums. NextDent Jet Denture Teeth is formulated to mimic tooth rigidity and esthetics while NextDent Jet absorbs impact.
When these materials are used as part of 3D Systems’ complete workflow solution comprising materials, jetted 3D printing technology, software and services, high-volume dental laboratories can efficiently deliver dentures with improved performance and esthetics. The speed of 3D Systems’ jetting technology combined with monolithic denture printing accelerates total production rates to significantly reduce time to completion, leading to expedited delivery to the prosthodontist and patient.
Glidewell previewed the new denture solution and plans to implement it this year.
3D Systems will showcase its new monolithic denture product line along with other digital dentistry solutions at LMT Lab Day, which will be held at the Hyatt Regency Chicago February 22 to 24.
