As part of a new expanded strategic partnership between Dentsply Sirona and 3Shape, Dentsply Sirona’s Primescan and Omnicam intraoral scanners now integrate directly with 3Shape’s lab software.
Dentists who use the intraoral scanners can now give dental labs secure access to the data through Dentsply Sirona’s Connect Case Center Portal, according to a press release.
The simplified digital workflow makes it easy for dental technicians using 3Shape’s software to work closely with their dental practice partners. With integrated hardware and software, even complex treatments can be efficiently planned and executed.
The new interfaces are available to laboratories that use 3Shape’s Dental System and have upgraded to Version 2021.2.
This is the next step in the agreement between the two companies to improve digital dentistry and oral health that was announced last June. As a first step, users of 3Shape’s TRIOS intraoral scanner gained validated and seamless access to Dentsply Sirona’s SureSmile Clear Aligners platform.
The companies are now focused on expanding customer access to an even wider range of technology choices.
