Ivoclar Vivadent recently announced enhancements to its line of Programat furnaces.
The furnaces come with more application possibilities and are easier to operate, according to a press release. The company also launched a new multi-function furnace for dental practices.
With the 4.0 software version, the Programat EP 3010 and EP 5010 combination press furnaces will include a new fully automatic press function (FPF). Users press the FPF button, place the investment ring into the press chamber and press the start key. The furnace then completes the procedure automatically. The new function will be released to users who already own an EP 3010 or EP 5010 Programat furnace at a later point in time.
The Programat P710 furnace running software version 3.0 includes a new IRT2 function. The function uses touchless infrared sensor technology to track the temperature on the restoration surface during the opening of the furnace head after the firing process. The display shows the ideal time to remove the fired object from the furnace. This function is also available as a software update for users who already own a Programat P710.
Programat P510 furnaces running software version 5.0 will be supplied with the DSA function for digital shade matching already installed on them. Special image processing software automatically recognizes the tooth to be analyzed and the three shade guide teeth on the picture and selects the best matching shade guide tooth.
The Programat S1 1600 sintering furnaces now come with a double-story sintering tray, the Programat Dosto Tray. This tray makes the sintering process even more efficient and allows the capacity of long sintering processes to be increased by up to 40 percent. The Dosto Tray is available as an accessory and requires software version 5.0. The new software version will be released to users who already own a Programat S1 1600 at a later point in time.
The new Programat CS4 is a multifunctional furnace well suited for sintering zirconia (ZrO2) materials such as IPS e.max ZirCAD. Fast sintering processes allow zirconia restorations to be directly manufactured in the practice in one session. The furnace can be used as a glazing and crystallization furnace for IPS e.max CAD and IPS Empress CAD restorations. Both predefined and individual programs for third-party materials are available.
