Designed to achieve optimal results when pressing the company’s ceramic materials such as IPS e.max, the Programat EP 5010 and Programat EP 3010 pressing furnaces from Ivoclar Vivadent come pre-installed with the material parameters.
The furnaces both feature QTK2 muffle technology and SiC bottom reflectors which are designed to provide homogenous heat distribution, according to a press release. This homogenous heat in the investment ring allows for pressing with thin margins.
The Programat EP 5010 also includes an infrared camera to monitor the temperature and recognize the size of the preheated investment ring. The camera helps the furnace ensure reliability when pressing just about any dental restoration.
