Carestream Dental’s CS 3000 milling machine is now approved for use with 3M ESPE’s Lava Ultimate resin nano ceramic material.
The 4-axis dental mill is part of Carestream’s recently launched CS Solutions chairside CAD/CAM system. It is capable of milling crowns, inlays and onlays with ± 25 µm accuracy, according to a press release. The Lava Ultimate material is kind to opposing dentition and can be milled, finished and placed without the need for firing for efficient and esthetic chairside CAD/CAM dentistry.
In the press release Carestream Chief Marketing Officer Dr. Edward Shellard said the company will continue to evaluate and vet new partners to work with on its open architecture CAD/CAM system.
