New Dental Product: 3i T3 Implant From BIOMET 3i

The new 3i T3 Implant from BIOMET 3i is a hybrid dental implant featuring a multi-surface topography designed to promote healthy tissue preservation.

The three surface topographies are a Coarse Micron Topography, a Fine Micron Topography and a Sub-Micron Topography, according to a press release. The coarse topography is formed by a resorbable media blasting process using calcium phosphate particles to facilitate blood clot retention along the implant threads. The fine topography is formed via a dual acid-etching process which overlays the coarse topography and is designed to mitigate the risk of peri-implantitis. The sub-micron topography features the discrete deposition of calcium phosphate nanoparticles which is designed to increase implant integration during the early healing process.

The 3i T3 Implant features integrated platform switching which has been shown to help maintain bone levels. The implant also features Certain Internal Connections and Gold-Tite Screws which are designed to reduce microleakage, maximize abutment stability and provide a tight fit between implant components.
