Septodont Donation to NYU College of Dentistry Used to Renovate Major Lecture Hall

A major gift from Septodont will allow New York University College of Dentistry to renovate the Saklad Auditorium, which will be renamed Septodont Lecture Hall.

After the renovations, which are scheduled to be completed by mid-August, the hall will seat 443 people, making it the largest facility at the dental school, according to a press release. The renovations include upgrades and enhancements to the design and the addition of new audio-visual equipment, power outlets in the seating area and recording capabilities. The hall will be used for student lectures, continuing education programs and community events.

The hall was originally named in memory of Dr. Maurice J. Saklad, a graduate and longtime faculty member of the school. To continue to honor his memory, the area adjacent to the lecture hall has been renamed the Saklad Atrium.
