Ivoclar Vivadent, Patterson Dental Company and 3Shape recently formed a partnership that put optimized solutions in place for the U.S. launch of the PrograMill One milling system and the fabrication of IPS e.max CAD restorations.
The unit is integrated with the 3Shape TRIOS Intraoral Scanner and TRIOS Design Studio, offering users a seamless in-office CAD/CAM milling solution that optimizes the quality, surface finish, and margins of IPS e.max CAD, according to a press release.
Dental offices that incorporate digital technologies with in-office production capabilities can eliminate a visit for patients while also optimizing esthetics, fit and function. It also enables them to offer same-day dentistry. The trend toward digital information capture allows clinicians to create better treatment plans and to offer in-office fabrication for increased efficiencies.
