The 3Shape TRIOS intraoral scanner is now digitally integrated with Flash Clear Aligners, making it possible for orthodontists to send intraoral scans to Flash via the cloud.
Because the connection is digital, it’s no longer necessary to take or mail analog PVS impressions or manually upload intraoral scan files to a server when ordering clear aligners, according to a press release.
To send the 3Shape TRIOS scans, users choose Flash clear aligners from the 3Shape Communicate app and then click send. The digital impressions are then instantly sent to the company via the cloud-based app.
Clinicians can write a prescription for Flash aligners in the company’s portal in less than five minutes. Once the prescription and scan are in place, Flash can provide a treatment plan in less than two days, and dispatch the aligners within five days after the plan is approved.
More than 30 orthodontic solution and sleep device providers and 220 plus bracket libraries are now integrated with 3Shape TRIOS orthodontics.
