Align Technology to Launch Invisalign Store Pilot in San Francisco

Align Technology to Launch Invisalign Store Pilot in San Francisco

Later this month a new Invisalign store will open in San Francisco as a part of a pilot program from Align Technology.

With a goal of reaching consumers who are not currently seeking teeth straightening, the Invisalign Store will provide people with free iTero digital impression scans and then simulations of how Invisalign treatment can improve their smiles. People who decide to pursue treatment will be connected with a local Invisalign provider and can even be pre-qualified for financing to cover the costs of the treatment. The goal of the store is to help consumers avoid the common barriers that prevent them from moving forward with Invisalign treatment.

The store pilot program is a next step from the company's Invisalign Smile Concierge program which began in January 2017 and helped consumers who completed an online assessment follow up with appointments with local Invisalign providers. That program has resulted in 20,000 in practice consultations at close to 800 practices in the U.S. with 5,000 Invisalign cases started.

The pilot store is scheduled to open in late November in San Francisco.
