 3Shape and OrthoApnea Form Partnership

Dental professionals can now send intraoral scans from the 3Shape TRIOS directly to OrthoApnea. The scans are used to order and design the company’s personalized sleep device for Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome, known as the “NOA.”

The scanner’s accuracy helps the sleep device maker tailor each NOA device to the individual patient, according to a press release.

OrthoApnea uses the patient’s anatomical, craniofacial and biomechanical characteristics when creating its personalized mandibular advancement devices.

Because the 3Shape and OrthoApnea device manufacturing workflow is digital, it speeds up production turnaround time so patients can begin treatment faster. ApneaDock, OrthoApnea’s online digital platform, allows doctors to easily manage their treatments and connects all specialists related to a patient.
