Carestream Dental will highlight the CS 3600’s workflow at the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) annual session this week.
The intraoral scanner is well suited for the oral and maxillofacial practice, according to a press release, and features an implant-borne restorative workflow and fast scan times. The CS 3600’s open system also makes it easy to share files.
The scanner’s implant-borne restorative workflow is designed to handle implant scanning, supported abutments and scan bodies. The dual scan mode makes it possible to scan the same implant region twice, once with the scan body in place and once without. The scanner’s software enables split-screen viewing for side-by-side comparison of the digital impressions with and without the scan bodies/abutments in place.
High-speed continuous scanning reduces the time it takes to acquire a digital impression while unsteady hands or fidgeting patients have no impact on successive views. The CS 3600 is also compatible with other open implant planning and surgical guide software programs. Open .STL files make it easier to quickly share data with referrals and labs. The Intelligent Matching System auto-locates holes in the dataset that need to be filled while scanning. The scanner comes with normal and side-oriented tips, which are rounded, interchangeable and autoclavable.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about new modules for CS WinOMS practice management software. A new electronic medical record module minimizes training by making it easy to access different components of the patient’s record, while the sleek, modernized interface enables faster navigation. eConnections, a single sign-on solution that helps oral surgeons manage, market and grow their practices, is also available. It features appointment reminders, online scheduling, online brand management including ratings and reviews, local search engine optimization, online directories, ROI tracking and call recording and analysis.
