Full Arch Scans Now Available on S-Ray’s Website

Full Arch 3D scans captured by S-Ray’s ultrasound technology and Latitude software are now featured on the company’s website, a major milestone for the company and the use of ultrasound for dental imaging.

This marks the first time digital dental impressions taken with ultrasound technology have been shown publically, according to a press release. The two images, one of an upper arch and one of a lower arch, were captured in S-Ray’s R&D lab.

Over the last several months, S-Ray Executive Vice President Dr. Scott Parker and his team have been working to develop and refine a software system that fully automates the scanning process. The company describes using ultrasound for dental imaging as accurate and cost effective, and expects the technology to be available very soon.
