A new integration allows orthodontists using the TRIOS intraoral scanner to send digital impressions to the Dental Monitoring platform with a single click.
Designed to allow clinicians and patients to monitor orthodontic treatments, Dental Monitoring is a system that uses a digital impression to capture the patient’s baseline tooth position combined with photos captured with the patient’s smartphone to track tooth movement, according to a press release. Dental Monitoring is now available as an integrated solution provider within the TRIOS system, and digital impressions can easily be sent to the platform to serve as the baseline image.
This integration relies on the accuracy of the digital impression to serve as a starting point image for tooth movement calculations, and the TRIOS is a good fit as it was recently named the dental industry’s most accurate digital impression system in a study published by the American Dental Association.
